Q: Drugged, phone stolen- can they add fingerprints?

My drink was spiked just after midnight Friday night in Madrid. My friends thought I had gone back to the hotel. I was found by a stranger 5 hours later. My possessions all stolen. I spent the next 5 hours at the police station before I could activate 'find my iPhone' or cancel cards. By this time, the phone was off the grid. My question to the community is what happens with fingerprint security if someone is unconscious. Obviously, they can unlock the phone and remove fingerprint access. Can they however add their own fingerprints, and therefore use their own fingers to approve card transactions or open apps like Good for Enterprise? Does anyone know the answer to this? Is there a failsafe that if you try to add fingerprints after the initial set-up it asks for your passcode? I want to say that even to change the passcode it asks for the old one... is this correct? Can anyone please help put my mind at rest.

I did cancel my cards, cancel my SIM and block the IMEI. Change my passwords on social media, email, and all apps which have a desktop login. I'm just curious if anyone can put my mind at rest as I will be replacing my phone, and would like to understand the security better.

Thank you

    Thank you

they can use your fingerprint to unlock your phone, but they can't remove it without knowing you 4 to 6 digit passcode.

Thank you! This is just what I needed. I shared my experience in Madrid on Facebook to raise awareness of safety. I can now also share this. I'm a huge apple advocate, but have to admit that until I didn't know the inner workings of this. Thank you massively!
