iTunes doesn't play albums in the proper track order and skips around the tracks. How do I restore the proper track order?

Recently iTunes will not play album tracks in the proper order. When I click on an album the various tracks are listed in the proper order, but when I play the album iTunes skips around the order.

~VIN,MacBook Pro (17-inch Mid 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

It's obvious, but please confirm you do not have the Shuffle option selected. Just switching it ON and OFF might also help.

Well I must be thick because I can't find where to switch shuffle off.

It has shuffle but there no on off button.

How do I fix this.
