In Canada (where both En and French are spoken) English currency is written $145 but in French it is written 145 $ (with a space after the 5.)
How do I make Pages adopt this French style in a table?
Can anyone help?

You select a table cell, and under the Cell tab's Data Format, you choose Create Custom Format… For the -,--- v selector, I also chose Use Spaces for Unused Digits. Once you have designed your format, and clicked OK, you will have a new Data Format menu item named French Currency $ that you can apply to cells.

One other related question.
I don't speak French but I understand there is different formatting depending on the size of the number. Once over 1,000 spaces are used instead of commas.
Eg 1234 is written like this, but 12345 is written 12 234.
How do I format Pages this way?

The French use a space for a comma separator, and a comma to replace the decimal point. Thus, 10,235.00 would be written
10 235,00. I have tweaked the French Currency format to use French number punctuation.
