Q: Is RAM Upgrade possible?

Hi guys,

 

Wondering if it is possible to increase ram to 16gb.

 

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)

Processor 2 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

    The RAM on a Retina MacBook Pro is soldered to the motherboard and not upgradable after purchase.

    No, and pretty much any notebook you buy from now on (unless they change things again) will be limited in use and usable lifespan by not buying adequate RAM (at Apple's prices) at the time of purchase.  If you plan on keeping one more than a couple of years, or could ever conceivably wish to do more on it that you have immediate plans for, get more RAM at purchase time.
