I understand that your iPhone is not connecting to your Mophie Juice Pack as you would normally expect and you would like to try and isolate the issue further. To isolate, I suggest trying to charge your iPhone with different cables or outlets, as described in the following article, without the case connected to the iPhone. This will help you to isolate the case or the iPhone for the connection issue.
