Q: Pill 2.0 only works when plugged into power and makes cracking noise

So I got a brand new Beats Pill as a gift from my family. And it only works when is connected to charger. Also it has a bad cracking sound. How can I fix it?

    I'm having the same issues, the crackle the inability to be be mobile with it. I spoke with beats support and they told me I could replace it for $99. Thanks but no thanks, what a huge disappointment. I will never buy beats again, just so upset that this speaker is not even 2 years old?!
