SMC reset. battery removable or battery non-removable?

Good day!

I am contemplating an SMC reset.

This after reading this thread - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

However, I am not sure if I follow the steps:

- If the battery is non-removable

or the steps

- If the battery is removable.

My SN is C1****TY3

Theoretically my battery is removable but I am just not sure if it is meant, removable in general, or if it is meant that there is or is not a sliding "door" as was the case on some earlier models. Obviously the text found in "Reset the SMC on Mac notebook computers" more or less indicates that mine is non-removable but I am simply looking for that extra bit of insurance telling me, stop worrying....... :-P

THANK YOU!!!

You have a 13" Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. Try the following to reset SMC.

Reset SMC:

1. Shut down the Mac.

2. Plug in the MagSafe or USB-C power adapter to a power source and to your Mac.

3. Using the built-in keyboard, press Shift-Control-Option on the left side of the keyboard, then press the power button at the same time.

4. Release all keys, then press the power button again to turn on your Mac.
