I mac restarted for diagnostics screen came up said no issues found a reference code ADP000 underneath that it said Apple would like to collect my information and my iMac will start up in OS X recovery and I'll be able to access Safari below that display my serial number and a click get started . And at the bottom the two circles to restart or shut down. I selected get started and I logged into the iMac without choosing my account or anything. Safari ONLY SCREEN. in the top left it says Safari and then a option to restart or shut down. web yes the Internet did work (MIndia you was also working fine when the computer asked to do the diagnostics) I went ahead and restarted after restart instructed me to hold down R screen came up and said 1 to 2 minutes and was perfomin Internet network recovery. 15 seconds later the fan that I never heard before kicks on sounded like a blow dryer then a giant smokey vapor cloud of brownish gray smoke came out the ventilation screen. My wife was in the kitchen of the time and both of us look at each other and just start laughing her *** off and then she ask what is that stuff as I look up in the air and it looks like there's a group of welders fabricated metal in my kitchen and dining room .

support and their main question was if the smoke and the vapor hurt me in anyway or if anybody was harmed. Lots of strange questions pertaining to my physical well-being. This is unheard of and I would think between Best Buy Kansas City Missouri and the Apple Store in Kansas City Missouri which Apple Store does all repairs for anything bought at Best Buy under their service plan. since I've purchased this machine after the download of Captain the keychains went crazy I'll kinds of intrusions and wireless network showed up at fullscreen that didn't exist none of my office 365 would work. As Apple support guy was setting up her appointment trying to refer me to locations 50 miles away I restarted the computer by holding the power button down a few times . And ever since then I've got a circle in a line through it like a no smoking sign. I had spent 5 1/2 hours at the Apple store 5 days before this explaining what was going on and should have record of All my conversations and screen sharing with senior advisers that told me they have never seen anything like it in their life and all they could do was referring me to FBI security website. So again here I am calling Apple support scheduling another appointment let him know about the smoke And detailed error messages. The no smoking sign per my contact in New Delhi that is a code computer genius it means that the computer detected that another network identical to what was on the machine was trying to be created. Which makes perfect sense I have my extra hard drive plugged in I was surfing the web I was setting up new account but all this network diagnostics and computer diagnostics prompted then the fan running in overload and smoke and in the no smoking sign . Which all I see is you can't do nothing we're not gonna tell you anything or anything we see your do and will replace any parts that may be broken or hurt all the while do you know mine to any of the connections or any of the Federal Bureau of investigation's recommendations what I should do. For the love of God why does it take for the Apple Store to just say man really sorry for what happened here's your new machine and maybe throw me a bone for all the money I missed out on all the emotional stress. I couldn't make it to the appointment this past Saturday mind you why should I even have to make an appointment you would think they would want to be discreet about something like this but of course very passive and not believing what I said which is the truth and me calling support thinking that it does something and they really care and want to know the messages all the while none of it means ****. I'm going to pick up the machine or not to let them fix it or get to it there's no doubt my mind when I opened it up it will be residue smoke and God knows what will be wrong I went to Best Buy and ask for the receipt because Apple store said that it showed I had bought an open item and I have confirmation that I purchased a brand-new machine which had a loud beeping sound when I first turned it on and the next day I went and got a new one the new one they gave me was a machine that the Apple Store had worked on and still show the same serial numbers. The people at Best Buy are allowed me to return it for a new device but if you're intelligent and l understand the fact that the Apple Store then I went to and my computer is that does the repairs for the Best Buy I bought the computer at they are both in the wrong and just like the Best Buy manager told me there is no communication regards to what they do when it comes to the machines are working on them whether it's through Apple care for the Best Buy plan or the general one year warranty . I had a back up plugged in time machine on all the way through the point of the no smoKing. I mean really the dudes at the Apple store said that they're going to repair anything that's broken and it may take seven days like anybody in their right mind or they can walk and chew gum or think that the machine repairable. Let alone the fact They could see that my machine was purchased in September when really I purchased my computer in November and they were trying to get out of it by saying it was an open item which now we know after going to the Best Buy store and seen the receipts and the geek squad recordkeeping of work and repair that the same serial number is showing on both devices and I had problems and thought it was weird that the serial number on my wireless connections showed up as my old one it was working yet and me about icon on the most recent one that showed a different serial number.
