iTunes can´t sync my devices since new software download

When I came home from a trip to Germany last month, I opened my computer, and got told that there is a new iTunes software. I downloaded it, like I usually do whenever there is a update.


A short while after I wanted to sync one of my iPods. There was the "iPod detected, but requested file not found". After that, I tried it with my other devices. It´s now been a month since then, and it keeps getting up again and again!


And a week before that update, everything worked fine!

The general procedure when iTunes fails to install properly (and reinstalling or repairing it does not work) is to remove not only iTunes but all related components, reboot, remove the target installation folders and reinstall. See the Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components section.
