Shuffling podcasts

Shuffling podcasts

I had a mini and when you selected shuffle and did not have anything else on the mini, it would shuffle the podcasts downloaded onto it. My mini has sadly died, so I bought a new 4 gb nano. Is there a way to shuffle podcasts on it? I selected shuffle songs, but that doesn't work.

Help.

So you want to shuffle all podcasts as a general?

First, go to "Settings > Shuffle", and select to "Songs".

Go to the main "Podcasts" area on your iPod.
In this Podcasts area, simply click on your Play/Pause button on your iPod to begin playing a randomly selected podcast.

If you let that podcast end and as the next one begins to play, that next podcast and all the others after it ought not to be in any order, but simply shuffled like you would with

Nope, that didn't work. When I do that it only plays one episode of a podcast, and then, when it is over, it goes back to the main menu. The only way I can get it to play all the podcast episodes one right after another is to shut off the shuffle feature and then it will play all of the podcasts one right after the other.

I want to do that, I just don't want them in any particular order. I download a lot of podcasts and usually have multiple episodes of the same podcast to listen to, so I like to shuffle them up.

I agree. I could shuffle podcasts fine by Genra before upgrading to 7.0.3 and 3.1, but now I can't. It's really annoying. I don't want to listen to the podcasts in alphabetical order.

Changing the Skip when Shuffling setting in the Podcasts info settings worked. It's fairly cludgy though, if I have to remember to change this setting each time. It would be far better if I could change this setting for all Podcasts just once, then forget about it.

It only seems to work if I copy podcasts into a playlist. Then they will either shuffle or play in order. If I just play them from the podcast menu the iPod will only play one episode at a time. Since I play them while driving, it is dangerous as well as inconvenient to have to look at the ipod and click buttons to get to the next episode!!
