I Have had trouble with you tube. Video and audio not in synch. I deleted YouTube app, would work for a day then problem would return. Today I can't get YouTube or Netflix to work. I keep getting error. I noticed You Tube did an update, and since that update I can't Get anything on You Tube to run. Netflix won't work either. Internet is working, I can get into other apps, but not the two I listed. Any help is appreciated

You would need to contact the developers as it is their responsibility to deal with any issues with the app.
Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)
If on wifi try Ethernet
Just to confirm, are you running the apps on ATV?
We've seen rhe slowdown problem with YouTube. Force quitting the app seems to help. No need to uninstall. And yes, you should report it to YouTube.
Force quitting all the apps, or power cycling ATV might help.
Check your settings in the YouTube app; they may have been scrambled by the update. Do you see your normal subscriptions, etc.?
What version of tvOS are you running? Do you know when it was updated?
You say you noticed that YouTube did an update. How do you tell that on ATV? I haven't been able to find any way getting that information on ATV 4.
YYes, I'm running these apps on ATV4. How do I force quit an app on AppleTV? or how do I power cycle? I discovered You Tube had updated when I went to the App Store, went to Purchased and clicked on Recently Updated, it shows the app and the date it was updated.
To force quit, double click the home button to view the app chooser, slide left and right, then push the app out the top of the screen. Takes a little effort because they're sticky.
You power cycle by pulling the plug, wait at least 30 secs before reconnecting.

You can also power cycle by going to settings - system - restart
Yes, restart reboots the system, but I don't think it's as thorough as a full power cycle, which forces initialization of memory and all hardware. Just an observation.
Yes, it has the same impact. Shouldnt have to unplug unless absolutely necessary
