Is anyone aware of issues with flash drive on macbook air (mid-2013); I am aware of the recall program of the Flash Drive of mid-2012 models. My son's Air just conked off and on booting just shows a folder icon with a question book. After several attempts with the CSR, it has been found to be a flash drive issue. Any help is welcome

Thank you. I tried both and thereafter was advised to replace teh Flash Drive. Feeling bitter having to pay such a huge amount. I wonder what else is a computer if the main part costing 70% of total conks off like this.
Is there any other way to fix this issue without having to buy a new flash drive.
If the SSD has hardware damage, only a replacement will solve the problem. Disk Utility can only correct a corrupt directory, not a hardware failure.
