Mac OS X
Q: a patently obvious functionality inexplicably omitted
what's the point of a backup of my photos to iCloud if I can't safely remove them from my iPhone? I don't need optimized versions of my photos on my phone; I need them off my phone. If I want to "see all my photos on all my devices," fine, let me toggle that functionality on the devices I specify. But why preclude making room on the iPhone while having a clean copy in the Cloud?
Why hasn't this functionality been built in? It seems like a natural and obvious need?
