I recieved a text from a known contact containing nothing odd while my phone was locked face up. Once received it swirched to the passcode screen unprompted and I took a screen shot of it:
It doesn't correlate to my passcode that I can tell, but was very odd, unprompted behavior.

Probably a glitch. Force restart the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by doing this.
If this happens again, set it back to factory settings and restore from the latest backup, just to be sure that this is not software related.

I don't believe it is hardware related. Despite the category there's oddly not an operating system forum category for the iPhone...
it is absolutely a glitch, my concern is whether or not it is a vulnerability, or simply a graphical glitch.
Hi NORSE, this is the right forum for iOS issues with the iPhone. Lots of questions regarding iOS here. I don't think it is a vulnerability but to be safe I would change the passcode.
It's a graphical glitch, looks like 2 screens overlapping at some points. There is no hint for your passcode, since you seem to use 6 digits and there are more than 6 numbers marked by the screen underneath.
Possible iOS 9.3.1 Passcode Vulnerability?
