shuffle charging
Is there a portable battery pack that will safely charge my ipod shuffle? Like an anker type product?

The shuffle can charge from any standard USB port or USB power adapter, as long as it supplies enough power. They all use the same voltage, assuming product is of good quality and properly designed, and the connection point is a regular USB port (where you connect the shuffle's docking cable). It should be "safe" to try battery pack products that are designed for mobile phones, and you consider "good enough" to safely use with an expensive iPhone.
