I am using Xcode for the first time. It keeps saying "Creating a profile requires having a device registered in the Member Center." how do i do this
pay $99.00 to get registered i guess, i just had the same message, we can still make apps but to get signed and upload to the app store i think we have to pay 🙂

If you try to launch your app onto a device, then you should be having a developer profile, where your device should be registered and then you can launch your app onto device.
If you are new to building apps in iOS, I suggest you to use simulator to test your app, unless if you really need to test it on device, You should register as a developer by paying $99.
