Trying to get Logic 9 to run on OS 10.8.5

Hard disc failed so got apple recommended repairer to install new drive.

Specifically requested that the new OS should be able to run Logic 8.

When I tried to re install logic 8 the disc was rejected as the OS was not compatible.

Checked Apple web site to see which version of Logic would run on the new OS 10.8.5 and Logic 9 is supposed to run on 10.6.8 or later.

Purchased a second hand copy of Logic Studio 2 (Logic 9) and most of the package has loaded but not the audio recording section.

Anyone know of a fix?
