File Attachment size

I get a message when trying to send an email with a business attachment that states the server only allows 28.3 MB. attachments. I am trying to send a PDF attachment that is 56MB. Can I increase the size allowed?

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

If you are using iCloud mail service, you can send larger attachments using Mail Drop. See the following:
