Migration Assistant on new MacBook Pro stuck on Starting up!

Ok, so I had an old MacBook Pro (2009) and it died after 6 years. I bought a new one with Retina (latest model) and I want to migrate files between each other.

Since that my old MacBook Pro can't turn on I've put the old hard drive into HD docking station and I connected it with my new Mac.

Started the Migration Assistant an hour ago and it's still on Starting Up page...and the HD docking boot flashes like it's actually doing smth...

I think it has less than a 100 gb to transfer...

Shall I leave it, restart it...

Confused completely....
