Memory shows ECC: Disabled, no part or serial number?

I have a late 2013 MB Pro with 16gb memory. I noticed recently that when I open the system report and look at memory, it says ECC is disabled and gives no serial or part number for the memory cards (see image)... I don't think this was the case when I purchased it new 3 years ago, but I can't remember the last time I checked system report. Is this normal, is there potentially something wrong with my memory, what might cause this? If it is an issue, how might it be fixed?

even if you had Error Correcting Code RAM, with its extra check bits in each word --

(they would be shown as DDR3 ECC ), the Hardware required to do error correction is only in the Xeon processors used in the Mac Pro desktops, at least at this writing.

Some DIMMs are encoded with a part number and serial number, some some with one or the other, and some with neither. Any of those will work just fine, as long as they are the correct spec for your particular Mac.
