I finsihed editing and was exporting when FCP shut down now when I go back to my edit there is only a few seconds of sound at the beginning and the video plays in slow motion. I need help
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)
TTrash yor preferences. Hold Opt-Cmd as you launch the application. We if you can on en a recent backup.
No didn't fix it There are some bars showing no sound and still plays in slow motion
I just tried to reimport from the Panasonic AG-HPX172EN Camera the original tracks and it is still playing in slow motion and no sound
I have imported video from my iphone6 plus and did editing and it works fine just seems to be anything imported from the camera

Yes I opened the backups. Its the video and sound that has been imported from the Panasonic camera it all worked fine until it crashed now there is no sound and it plays in slow motion you can see from the screen shot above it shows sound waves in some but there is no sound. I even tried to reimport the original video from the camera and its still doing the same thing
DDoes the imported media play correctly in the QuickTime player when opened from the Finder.
What hat are the media specs of the material you're using? Not seeing my this camera on the supported camera list.
TRy try reinstalling the application from the App Store.
No the imported media does not play in Quicktime
I have used this camera several times on my old mac I updated to this new mac a year ago and have only just used it with the camera for the first time. It played fine all through the editing then has just stopped.
So are you saying to uninstall and then reinstall FCP?
MMove the application to the trash and redownload It.
DOes oes the media play at all in the Finder or does it just have a generic icon?
It plays in slow motion first 2 seconds of sound then no sound. I will try to redownload FCP
I moved it to trash and then I reinstalled. I have plugged camera in and go to import I can play and have sound and video in the viewer direct from the camera but as soon as I import it goes to slow mo and no sound.
I have imported from this camera before on this computer and edited no problems.
So no change still same problem
I tried to import into Imovie it will import video which plays fine but no sound will import
Can anyone help with this problem. I have videos to edit and cannot do them because of this problem. Could there be a setting somewhere that has changed.
