9.3.1. (13E238) iPAD 2 - SIM card not recognized at boot

Hi,

Updated well functioning iPAD to latest 9.3.1. release. At boot the new OS does obviously not recognize the sim card - therefore "No Service". Cellular network is recognized and works fine after extracting / re-inserting the sim card during operation. Operator is "BOB". I have taken all recommended steps already. Even reset to maintenance mode and fresh new setup produces the same result. SIM card works as expected in another iPAD which is on 8.2. Anyone having similar issues?

Best regards

Gernot

PS: I spent time on the phone with Apple Support and Carrier (Bob, A1) Support. Apple claiming that it is a Sim card issue and Bob claiming it is an Apple IOS issue. Classic ping-pong.

Here is the litmus test if you will - usually best done in a carrier store (even possible at Apple)

Take that SIM card and use it in another compatible device - if it connects - it is the device

Also take a SIM card (if possible) from a functioning device and insert it into yours and see what happens

Merely trying out another SIM may also provide an answer if not done already
