I ve recorded and audio region which appears to be ghost like grey, for some reason i m thinking it automatically muted somehow, trying to unmute if indeed it is mute but won't mute and can't play, **** is going on can anyone help

Have you selected the region you want to hear and click the inspector button on the top left of the main sequence window? there is a mute selection button on the top there.
If you have a track soloed, then all others will be muted (greyed) and will not play...
Check:
if the Mute button on the Channel strip or track header is enabled. Disable it.
if the region is "lonely" muted: select it and hit M or ctrl-M (default) to unmute.
if the track is switched off via the Track On/Off button. Turn it back on if it is.
