I have a 15-inch_mid-2015_Retina_MacBook_Pro, bought in March of 2016 .

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), 2.8GHz_15-inch-mid-2015; 16GB RAM

I see you're concerned about the current firmware version for your MacBook Pro. The support article you referenced is up to date. The EFI and firmware versions in the link are accurate, as your MacBook Pro that you purchased is still covered as the Mid 2014 in the list.
