Hi all, I've tried turning on and turning off my Mac Mini many times today and it just won't boot up. It seems the loading bar with the Apple logo gets to about 50% then just stops progressing.
What can I do?

The bar is grey and the bar always seems to stop in the middle and never goes past this point. The Apple logo is above the bar.
What can I try to do?
Have you tried booting into "Safe" mode?

Ok guys without using Safe Mode or any other procedure I just tried rebooting the Mac Mini again and it took 10-15 minutes, but it has finally booted up!
Booting into Safe mode is slower (but should not be 10-15 minutes).
But the fact that it booed into Safe mode may indicate you have some 3rd party products installed that are not playing nice. Or it could be that Safe mode clears some caches, and uses some more conservative device drivers, such as for the graphics.
If you can not boot normally, then it might have been caches.
If you cannot boot normally, it might be 3rd party software.

I just had to shut down the Mac Mini and now when I turn it on it just stays at about 50% on the progress bar just below the grey Apple icon...
I'll try to boot using Safe Mode now to see if that helps.
Okay I've finally managed to get past the progress bar and Apple logo and I've logged into my Mac, but it's still trying to load my desktop and I just see the "spinning coloured wheel."
What does this mean?
I just turned off my Mac Mini then I turned it on and pressed "Shift" so it would boot into Safe Mode, but it's been 30minutes and it's still stuck at 50% on the progress bar under the Apple logo.
What can I do???
I just rebooted the Mac Mini and held down the "Option" key and then I told the Mac Mini to boot from the external USB HDD that was already running OSX Yosemite and now it's running great.
if it is running faster from an external disk, than the internal disk, that might indicate your internal disk is failing.
maybe you should make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store to have your Mac mini evaluated.
