Q: how do I get my PDFs down loads to iBooks back?

The pdf books I downloaded are not there.

    When did you download them, and what have you done since downloading them e.g. updated the iOS version on the iPad via a computer's iTunes, restored to a backup, turned on iCloud Drive for your books, synced to a computer's iTunes and deleted them ?
