Q: Wipe a 4S completely before donating it

Need to Remove phone number, etc. from my old 4S.

i have removed contacts, apps that were mine, my photos, etc.

I'd really just like to wipe it clean.....

A:

The phone number is on the SIM, you do not need carrier support for that. If the phone is not recognizing the passcode, then put the device into Recovery mode, the instructions are here for that. If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

See this support document. What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Make sure you remove the SIM as well after following the other instructions.

Thank you very much.
when I choose wease all content and settings, it prompts me for my Passcode.
ive only ever used one, and this iPhone says nope. That's not it.....

and... I need carrier support to remove my phone number?
