turn off music library

I share music between my iPad and two iPhones and really don't need music on my iPad since it's taking up 1.9GB of precious space I'd like to use for watching movies.

How can I turn off my music library just on iPad without deleting any music to show on my iPhones?

iPod touch (2nd generation), Windows 7

Depends somewhat on how you share music. If you are syncing via iTunes on a computer, simply don't sync any music.

If you are using Apple music, go to Settings APP > Music and turn off Show Apple Music and iCloud music library.

Or, simply delete any tracks you have actually downloaded to the iPad. The visibility of any tracks in the cloud that are available to you will not take up space on your device unless you actually download.
