iTunes thinks I have iTunes Match. I don't.

I'm trying to sync my phone with iTunes, it's plugged in, recognized, authorized, and I thought ready to go.

When I go to the "music" tab on the phone window, though, it just says, "iTunes Match is on. iPhone can access music in iCloud. Songs can be downloaded and played via Wi-Fi or a cellular network."

But I don't have (or want) iTunes match. I made sure both the phone and the computer have it turned off. I even tried turning off iCloud, and then lost the little bit of music I had on the phone.

I know I can download everything I've purchased from the iTunes store, but I have music files from back when they came on CD, and some of it isn't on the iTunes store, and I miss it.
