itunes will not sync with other devices,,,very annoyed

Could you tell me where to find information on itunes organizing and syncing music in a written form

as I arranged all my music on my computer, Windows 7, Home Edition, 64 bit, 9.3.1 updated on devices.

then tried to sync to my ipad air and iphone 4s, but it synced only to the previous version and lost all my work.

The Summary is checked to sync automatically by wi-fi but it is not working.How do I find out if my itunes is up to date?.

Can you advise where I can find the answers. Thank you
