Why are many songs appearing on my iPhone but not available in my iTunes list?

Not on what iTunes list, do you mean in the My Music section of your computer's iTunes library ? If you do then are they iTunes store purchases which you haven't downloaded on that computer or copied back from the iPhone ? Or are they not iTunes store purchases ?
