Email on IPHONE

I can access my email from my IPHONE, but I can not send emails from my IPhone. I have a hotmail account and I have changed the password on my desktop, but I can not figure out how to sync my phone to my computer. When I try to send an email, it simply sends it can not send email as the user password is incorrect. I don't know how to fix this problem. Thanks for any help!!!
