Macbook Pro Display

Lately I am having a distortion issue with my Early 2011 Macbook Pro. The screen gets distorted all of sudden. When I restart the computer, everything goes back to normal. Is this a hardware failure or some type of virus? Also, I had my Macbook repaired last year for 'No video' through apple.

If so, make an appointment at Apple store genius bar to have your MBP tested.
