Why did my wireless keyboard stop working when I put new batteries in? There is no power in the keyboard now.
What to do when my wireless keyboard won't power on after I put in new batteries?

I would probably try different batteries as a first step and be sure they are installed with correct polarity.
I am not trying to be funny, but the power button was depressed, correct?

Yes brand new batteries were correctly installed and power button depressed. All this done many times over. The keyboard is just dead. No power.
The response was not helpful. I already tried these ideas many many times. The keyboard won't power on. No new ideas were offered as a solution.
You do realize that we are all volunteers......trying to shoot remote problems with incomplete information?
Your "not helpful" comment was NOT HELPFUL.

The suggestion to try different batteries was not meant to imply that you weren't using fresh batteries. It was to suggest trying a different brand of batteries. The bump of the positive end of the battery has to protrude enough to reach a recessed metal contact in the keyboard. Some batteries have a bump that is too small to reach the contact.
Thanks for the explanation. I did try other batteries but I appreciate your explanation. May be worth trying even another brand? Anyway thanks for the help.
