Why my iPhone 6s Battery is Suddenly Draining?

Hello,

My iPhone 6s battery stated to drain really fast today and I can't figure out why.

Usually, my battery is at around 30 to 40 percent by the end of the day when I put it back into charge (this was the case until yesterday). Today my phone went through a complete battery cycle by mid-day and another cycle by 8pm.

I have closed all applications in the background, restarted the phone and checked the battery usage per application. There's nothing unusual.

Any idea why all of the sudden my phone has started to drain so much battery?
