can anyone help please?
I have a folder in iCloud drive that is named pictures and is using 29GB of space.
It seems to have copies if iPhoto and photos but is using up a LOT of my space.
Should it be here or is it safe to delete. Find this all very confusing.

Do a backup. If the photos are still in iPhoto/Photos, you should be able to delete it. Move it to the Trash (don't empty), open the application to check for the photos. If found, empty the Trash.
