Final Cut Pro X Can't update from 10.2.1.to 10.2.3

Question

Final Cut Pro X Can't update from 10.2.1.to 10.2.3

Hey all,

sorry for that, but i can't update from 10.2.1 to 10.2.2/3.

In Purchases the Software ist marked as INSTALL but the Software is already installed ( since 2 years )

In Application/Shared Folders FCPX is not AVAILABLE as a Product; not listed, so i can't di the trick with the Trash !

Please is there anyone out there who can give me a tip that way ?

Running System: El Cap on 15Inch Mac Pro

I assume you're not seeing it in updates. Move the application to the trash and click the Install button on the Purchased page.

Where is this? What are you talking about here?

What Tom said, go to Applications folder (shortcut: cmd + shift + a) choose Final Cut Pro and drag it to trash bin (shortcut: cmd + backspace) you might be asked for a password that you have to enter. Then open the App Store go to the purchased tab and reinstall Final Cut Pro.

Sorry...

under UPDATE i don't see an Update for FCP

Under Purchased, if a Product is installed!!! the Button is ( OPEN ) and not INSTALL, but that is my current view.

And, i do not see the application under APPLICATION-List, neither in my DOCK under Applications- where it should be nor in the Application-Sidebar.

So i'm not able to Trash the application.

We could not complete your purchase. That's the error Message after pressing Install

Now I'm lost...

Sorry you said the button was INSTALL.

Do a Finder search for the application. It should be in the Applications unless it was moved. Perhaps it's on another connected drive.

How are you pressing INSTALL if the button says OPEN? Could not complete your purchase? But you've purchased it already, it's on your purchased page correct?

HI Tom,

didn't say that the Button says OPEN.I said IF a software is installed the button is OPEN.

My button says INSTALL and then the Info message appears that the purchase is not complete.

YYou could contact App Store support. It sounds as if the file isn't downloading properly, which seems to be a network issue.
