Should I erase OS X BASE SYSTEM when selling used imac? Already deleted HD.

Already did this. My question was re. the OS X "Base System" when in Utility. It shows 2.01 GB. Should it also be erased for security reasons?

I would erase it just to make sure there is no data left on the hard drive.

I found out from Apple support that it is not necessary to delete osx base system.
