the screen moves down by itself
Hi
I have an Imac 27. for some reason the monitor/computer moves down and I have to tilt it up again, is there a way I can lock it in place?
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
I have had the same problem. Apparently, the hinge is broken
I took the computer to an authorized service provider. Although my computer was out of warranty coverage, they fixed if free of charge because the component in question was in a recall program, as apple recognised it as defective.
The outcome was actually very satisfying, however I cannot say the same about how Apple did not give this information when i first contacted support.
Mine is a 2012 27" iMac. Check with the nearest authorized service provider whether your computer is also covered by the recall program
