I have an ongoing problem in that some of the file I have in the Cloud do not automatically update. Can anyone that might have had the same issue please reply.

What specific app's files?
Are they iCloud drive files?
Between what devices if yoo are talking about between devices?
Do they only update one way? If created/modified on one device?
You might have better luck here:
Try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing.
Have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
Hello IIIaass: Numbers, and Pages documents, created on my Mac Pro; iCloud Drive is used to store whats created from the Mac as a sole backup. When I update the files on my Mac the file doesn't up date in the cloud. I do not create or update files that are in iCloud Drive. Its a hit and miss situation. I've started using Google Drive, works as smooth as glass, so I know it's not my computer. But, I'm an Apple fan, and like to find out why this problem continues to plague me..
