I water-damaged my iPad awhile back - won't even turn on. Bought a replacement; want to send old one in for refurb. When I enter ser #, it says that FIND MY iPAD is on and I have to shut off first. I removed old device from my cloud when I got the new one. How the heck do I turn off FMiP then? THANKS.

On a computer, go to http://icloud.com. Click on Find my iPhone. Click on the "All Devices" drop-down, and select the old iPad, and finally click the "Remove from Account" option.
