Q: photos upside down in slideshow

How do I get iPhoto slideshow to play first to last slide? It plays in reverse -- last slide backwards to first slide.

You must be playing the slideshow directly from an album in iPhoto 9.4.3 or earlier, right?

There's a bug in iPhoto that causes slideshows from album to do that.  To get a slideshow with the slides in the correct order select them in the album and create a slideshow via the File ➙ New Slideshow menu option.

New question -- why are some of the photos upside down in the slide show when they appear right side up in album and in the photo scroll above the slide show?

Where are they from?  Each photo has a tag that tells the application its orientation.  For some reason that tag is not getting read correctly when being displayed in the slideshow.

Do they display upside down when in the slideshow created as I described in my last post?

Yes. So I went back to my album and rotated from right side up to upside down the photo that appears upside in the new slideshow. Then I "selected all" for that album and created new slideshow. Now the slide is correct -- but in the scroll above the slide show still it shows upside down. What a pain! To correct it, I have to identify EVERY slide that is upside down in my slide show, go back to the album and turn the correctly upright one upside down, then select all and create new slideshow.???? Again.

If you double click on the slide in the thumbnail tray at the top of the slideshow window

you can enter the edit mode directly to do the rotation. The scroll to the next image using the arrow keys at the top right of the window.

To return to the slideshow click on the slideshow's title in the upper left hand corner:
