I recently did a restore on an iPhone on my iMac and the iTunes music that imported from a CD on my music is gone, only the original bought dowloaded from the iTunes store was there. Does anyone know what could have caused it or where I could find it?

It would only be where you put it.
Did you not maintain backup copy of your computer?
No, I do not have a backup on the computer. The computer did not turn off or nothing, the restore was from doing the backup on the iPhone 6s. The music was not deleted by me manually.
