I am unable to verify my email which iCloud is asking me to do?

When I login to iCloud.com it says I have to verify my email, but... when I press continue I do not receive an email to the relevant account to be able to verify it (and I have checked spam/junk folder).


Why is this not working?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
