Q: Mac book heating up, fan noise

My mac book has heating up problem since last 3-4 days, the fan is creating lot of noise, initially i was using many apps n tabs at same time then it was working fine, but now it hangs up. Sometime the apps quit automatically.

Uninstall JustCloud.

If JustCloud is running is running:

 

Finder > Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor

CPU > JustCloud

Select it and Click the Force Quit a process button at the top left corner of the window.

 

Remove other Adware.

 

1. Disable all Extensions and test.

    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

    To uninstall the extension, select it and click the “Uninstall” button.

 

2. Safari > Preferences >  Search > Search Engine :

     Select your preferred   search engine.

 

3. Safari > Preferences > General > Homepage:

     Set your Homepage.

 

4. Use  free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac/ AdwareMedic to remove adware

 

     https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/mac/

 

   Download, install , open,  and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button   to remove adware.

   Once done, quit Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

 

I am not familiar with this"Momus.net".


Available disk space is very low.

    no, i searched it all for JustCloud.

    in fact its not showing anything about it in the spotlight search (command+space bar).

    As you can see in the Etrecheck report, there clearly are parts of JustCloud on your Mac. You can use Etrecheck itself to remove those.

    JustCloud is no more in the system.

     

    Quit Malwarebytes Anti-Malware app.

     

    If Safari is still slow, try this.

     

    Delete Safari Caches and  com.apple.Safari.plist

     

    1. Delete Caches and test.

     

        Close all windows and quit all applications.

        Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

        Select "Library" from the dropdown.

     

        Library > Caches > com.apple.Safari

        Right click the com.apple.Safari file and select "Move To Trash.

        Close windows and relaunch Safari.

     

    2. Delete com.apple.Safari.plist file and test.

     

     

        Empty the Trash.

        Quit all applications.

        Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

     

        Select "Library" from the drop down.

     

        Library > Preferences >  com.apple.Safari.plist

        Right click on it and select "Move it to Trash".

        Restart.    Relaunch Safari.

     

        If this doesn’t help, “Put Back” the com.apple.Safari.plist

     

        Right click on  the Trash icon in the Dock and select “Open”.

        Right click on the com.apple.Safari.plist and select “Put Back”.
