Can anyone confirm that Apple no longer offers the playback component for sale/download?

Handbrake (free) can rip non hollywood DVD's.

Thanks and yes, I had cited Handbrake as an alternative. (MPEG Streamcliprequires the playback component – even for OS X versions > 10,6.)
