Q: QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component

Can anyone confirm that Apple no longer offers the playback component for sale/download?

Trying to advise OP on opening a VOB in MPEG Streamclip.

MPEG 2 playback is already included in OS X in Lion and above.
Handbrake (free) can rip non hollywood DVD's.

Thanks and yes, I had cited Handbrake as an alternative. (MPEG Streamclip requires the playback component – even for OS X versions > 10,6.)
