Can't enlarge media list in iMovie for Mac

When you aye in the Multimedia view, you can't enlarge the media list zone on the left of the screen. Is this a bug ? thks

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Try dragging the lower left corner of the window to the left. That enlarges the sidebar a bit:

I have to make the iMovie window larger than the display to make the sidebar wider:

Thank you ! this helped me. it not perfect but it is great change. it should be able to work even in full screen mode..
