I accidentally turned on FileVault, and now all of my data is gone.

I am using iOS 10.11 on a MacBook Pro and turned on FileVault after reseting my computer without really realizing what it was. After deciding I didn't want it, I didn't realize FileVault could be turned off half way through so I waited for it to finish encrypting everything and then turned it off and waited for it to decrypt it all again. Unfortunately now all of my documents, pictures and videos are gone.
