no passcode was on device prior to update, now disabled. connected it to iTunes (never connected to this computer before) and followed steps to recovery mode to factory restore it. but won't reset. states to connect to the internet. laptop is connected to the internet. tried find my phone and states device is offline when it is turned on. help
Can you clarify? iOS 7 has not been on Apple update servers since iOS 8 was released in September 2014 so you cannot access it at all. Therefore I can't get my mind around the idea of finding iOS 7 over 18 months after its demise.
Please tell us your iPad model and what iOS verison it had prior to trying the update. That is important information to us in trying to help diagnose your iPad problem.
Also, the original iPad "iPad" 1" cannot be updated beyond iOS 5.1.1
It had the factory installed ios I believe, it is an iPad 2. I gave it to my friend when I got my iPad air. she said it updated itself 2 nights ago and then she couldn't get on. and now is disabled. Not sure which IOS it updated to but one that requires a passcode. tried to do factory restore with iTunes, able to get recovery screen to come up but won't complete restore. then has message that needs to be connected to the internet. the computer is connected to the internet.
