itunes 12.3.3.17 freezes when i connect to my iphone 6 plus

Every time I try and connect my iphone 6 plus running the latest IOS to my iTunes it freezes iTunes. I am on Windows 7 (64bit) running the latest itunes. It is really FRUSTRATING TO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY ITUNES ON MY COMPUTER. When I disconnect my phone it frees up iTunes. What is the point of iTunes if i can't connect my phone to it???? Makes me want to look at an Android phone......

please tell me there is a fix for this.

If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

If this does not resolve the issue - please post back with details of any error menages and we can try and help

Try the steps in the article. If they do not help then try deleting iTunes and reinstalling it.

I have tried everything suggested and it still freezes when i connect my iphone. I am going to uninstall iTunes one last time and try it again.

Try again but please follow the steps here exactly. Please remove all Apple components as listed in the article, this is essential. Also temporarily disable any antivirus software while downloading the iTunes file.
